"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst" – Henri Cartier-Bresson

About

Thru the 50mm is about “Life thru the lens”. A blog about our world as seen through my camera lens. I try and capture moments of life so my photography is mainly centered around street photography. I also try a few landscapes and anything else I find interesting along the way. I am still very much an amatuer and trying to learn and improve every day. My name is Mark and I live in Sydney, Australia but have been lucky enough to do some traveling. All the photos on this site are my own unless stated and I will admit they are not all taken with a 50mm lens, in fact some of them are taken with a mobile phone and not my Canon 5D, but don’t tell anyone!!

  4. I love your quote here. Patience brings art. You got it–meaning art.

  7. I want to comment this sentence: “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst””. No, if You learn something from them. Well, it is my personal opinion. To be at right time at right place – it works!

    • Hi there, thank you for your visit. I think the point of this quote is that in photography we are always learning. Even if we have taken thousands of photos there is still much to learn and improve upon.
      Have a great day.
